Divine Waters is a documentary film released in 1985 (shot in 1981) starring Divine and John Waters as themselves, along with Waters’ father John Waters Sr. and sister Trish Waters.
This documentary focuses on the careers of influential partners in trash film, John Waters and Divine. The film includes interviews with Waters’ parents and sister, actress Edith Massey sings two songs (“Punks, Get off the Grass” and “Fever”), as well as a live performance of Divine performing his song “Born to Be Cheap”.
this disc also contains THE DIANE LINKLETTER STORY (1969) starring Divine as Diane. this is unfiltered Waters – so good! you may have seen crummy versions of this film around, which were all sped up. this one has been properly transferred, and looks and sounds like it should.
as a bonus it also contains LOVE LETTER TO EDIE which is just so sweet.
