There have been many posts on this and other Hi-Fi/Music forums about Genesis with and Genesis without Peter Gabriel, we have the albums but there isn’t much video of the Gabriel years. A concert was filmed in 1973 at Shepperton Studios on 16mm film it was transfered to video, then DVD and now its been cleaned up to HD by Klerch at Genesis Museum. No doubt some will have seen this for those who haven’t here’s your chance to see what all the fuss is about.

What we have is a one man theatre show, Peter telling his stories with singing and amateur dramatics , backed by some excellent musicians.

It is so far removed from later Genesis and other rock concerts it almost seems Victorian, how I wish I’d been there, his old man part in The Musical Box is quite sinister, now finally I know what the song was about.
