Three young women leave college to make a go of the New York City theater world after one of them gets a “tip” from a guy that likes the way she moves. Like many Sarno pictures, this one focuses on the women & their misadventures. They split an apartment in a building where the landlady poses for sexy pics. One gal takes movement lessons from an unhappy lesbian in a loveless marriage, another gets caught up with booze in the seamy nightclub life & the third falls in love with the lesbian’s husband, a philandering show producer. This isn’t the best example of Sarno’s ability to build erotic tension, but it’s great NYC sleaze-lite with a little bit of nudity, some great trashy moments & a jazz soundtrack that doesn’t quit. Perhaps it should be no surprise that the only guy who isn’t scum is the photographer for dirty pictures mags that lives in the same apartment building.
